Deep Rest: Yoga for relaxation & Soundbath – Ludlow

As we move into the darker parts of the year, what better time to spend a cosy evening in this beautiful studio space nourishing body, mind and spirit. During this extended Yin yoga session we will explore long, deep holds to help gently stress + hydrate your deep connective tissue, leaving you feeling more spacious and open.
For this session in late September we’ll be exploring the transition from the earth element (late summer in Traditional Chinese Medicine) into the metal element (autumn) through poses stimulating the digestive system (spleen, stomach, large intestine meridians) and lungs.
Benefits of Yin Yoga
+Stretches deep tissues: long holds target ligaments, tendons, and fascia that fast workouts miss.
+Improves flexibility: gentle, steady pressure lengthens tight connective tissue over time.
+Increases joint mobility: lubricates joints and keeps them healthy as you age.
+Relieves tension: releases physical tightness stored in the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
+Calms the mind: long periods of stillness can help quieten a busy brain.
+Lowers stress: can encourage your body into a rest-and-digest state.
+Improves sleep: can help relax the body and mind for better rest.
