DESCRIPTION:Ecstatic Sound and Movement Journey with Cacao – Rainbow Rhythms \n\n\n\n\nJoin Ecstatic Dance Berkshire (founded by Alison from Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy) for this Ecstatic Dance Journey. \nMany of our dance journeys are guided\, with invitations to move into deep connection with the self – to allow the medicine of Ecstatic Dance to create space for healing. \n‘Rainbow Rhythms’\, is a light-hearted\, uplifting ecstatic dance journey with minimal guidance and invitations to connect to freedom\, joy\, and self expression through movement. With openness and curiosity\, explore your body’s response to the bright and joyful music. \nExperience the physical\, emotional and mental wellbeing benefits of sound and movement therapy\, in a uniquely safe and sober space. \nTHE JOURNEY \nEnter the hall space in sacred silence from 7.20pm and join us in meditation. \nAt 7.30pm\, sitting in circle\, you’ll be guided through a short centring practice\, with an invitation to scan the body\, emotions and mind. This practice is an oppportunity to bring more presence to your experience and to connect more deeply with your self and your heart. \nAs we move into our cacao ceremony\, we pass our cacao around the circle with love\, before practicing gratitude and setting intentions together. \nWe’ll begin our movement journey together with a little guidance to warm up. \nMovement is conscious\, intuitive and spontaneous as you allow the vibrations of the sound to resonate in whichever way feels right for you. The invitation is to disconnect the mind and connect with the body freely\, noticing any self-judgement and any fears around judgement from others. \nThe evening will close with a mini sound bath and a short closing circle with fruit\, and some optional time to socialise. \nTogether we co-create a safe container\, offering respect to our fellow dancers and their space\, keeping to the guidelines of no chat\, no shoes\, no drugs\, no alcohol. \nTHE MUSIC \nEach dance is a soundwave journey\, with the music being intuitively chosen from an eclectic mix of different genres. The experience is less about the type of music and more about how all aspects of your being relates to it. You’ll be invited to be curious with your exploration of your body and movements\, to bring moment by moment awareness to what’s moving through you. \nIMPORTANT INFO \nPlease note that by purchasing a ticket you agree that Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is not liable for any injury or harm that you may incur at this event (dancing only exactly as YOU feel to) & you agree to take full responsibility of yourself\, your health\, your wellbeing and all of your belongings whilst at the session -Thank you. \nThis is an over 18’s\, respectfully alcohol and drug free environment. We move/dance barefoot or with grip socks\, so gain a deeper connection between the body and the Earth. As a newbie to this type of dance\, I’ve tried it a handful of times and am completely hooked. I had never danced before and was very self-conscious at first\, I’m overjoyed at how liberating and natural this feels and it is now one of my core activities for self -and soul nourishment!’ \nPLEASE BRING \nWear comfortable clothing/layers/anything you feel like expressing yourself in.
